Testing the waters - or rats. This Uracoan Rattlesnake (Crotalus durissus vegrandis), contemplating the menu, is an inhabitant of salty deserts in north-eastern Venezuela (states Monagas and Anzoategui). Formerly one of the rarest rattlesnakes in collections the Uracoans are commonly kept in terrariums thanks to prolific captive breedings.
